At least you have the camera facing backwards; there's never anyone in front of you, that's for sure!

Looks like you guys had fun. I hate I had to miss out.
My FIL passed away on 12/22 so Xmas has been a bit dark here this year and the riding I had planned had to be put on hold. Im hoping to get out Monday and wear some rubber off the knobbies. Could someone PM me the Abbeville route that was used?

March Moto Madness - Tellico Plains
Anyone ever go to this rally up in Tellico TN? I missed it last year because of work and looks like I'm going to miss it again this year (March 21-24, 2013). Looks like it would be a good time.

Can't say that I have. But would like to go but I have way to much on my plate to even think about something like that.

This could turn into an interesting ride. Locals I believe.
Wish them the best, but I fear they may have packed a tad heavy. https://www.facebook.com/thirstybike/photos_stream From their website: How long is the trip? The first trip, from Anchorage, Alaska all the way to the tip of South America, Tierra del fuego, will be almost 15,000 miles. That’s a long way! [I think they've left from Augusta instead] Where will you sleep? The bikes will be pulling an aluminum camping cot that will double as a trailer for gear. We will also be meeting up with people through the Couch Surfing network for places to stay and to meet up with local artist and musicians to promote their work. And sometimes a hotel or hostel. How fuel efficient are the hybrid bikes? The bikes will get anywhere from 150 to 200 mpg, depending on riding conditions. That means that gas to go 1000 miles will cost around $20, based on the US national average! How fast do the bikes go? The bikes will be geared to cruise most efficiently at 30mph but they have the ability to go about 40mph (that range is saved for when quick maneuvers are needed) Won’t your butts get sore? Yes, very sore. Are there really people in the world who don’t have clean water? Nearly one billion people lack access to safe water and this leads to the 98,000 deaths a week worldwide. Check out our Clean Water Facts page for more info. |
