Well, JamesJWeg brought up talk of the Taproom, so I'll defer to him to suggest a time. Paging JJW.....
I am off all day Monday and Tuesday if anyone wants to ride also. |

I guess we'll see if JJW chimes in over the next few days, and if not make plans ourselves.
Anyone know any gas stations that sell ethanol free gas? I only know of one just south of exit 5 in SC (Corner of Hwy 25 and Ascauga Lake Rd.), but everywhere I stop in Disgusta has that 10% ethanol sticker on the pump. My SV650 has been running like crap for the past month, and I just moved back here 2 months ago. Just enough time to burn through my NC gas, and fill up with GA gas. I have a slip on and no rejetting, so there was always a little popping on decel, but now its mor like backfiring, and below 4000 rpm is all stumbly, esp. at steady throttle. |

I had to open the pilot adjustment screws on everything I have, Yami's and Urals, 1/2 turn approx, and go from 87 to 89 octane.... still lost about 5-10 mpg on everything to... 4-7 on the cages.
It costs more, doesn't go as far, so you need to buy more....yeah, adding alcohol really helps. Just NOT the consumer!

Wow.. nice shots. Looks like great riding around there.
Google says that you are about 120 miles outside Augusta, have to do a lot of highway riding or is it a lot of cool back roads? |

I hear ya! Got a DR350 coming, but sorta shoppping for something a little newer, and waverring between a DRZ400S and a DR650 myself....
So far, the DRZ400S is in the lead...but who knows what'll happen between now, and when I get the cash...LOL

I would lean toward the DRZ if your planning on riding dirt more then pavement, it a great do anything bike. With the right mods my DRZ performed nicely.
I bleed Orange now (again) with two KTM's and wanting to add a third, I really like my LC4 for Dual Sporting. |

Had a few hrs to kill so I took a ride:
Took this rd ![]() To here: ![]() Rode till I saw this ![]() Crossed a bunch of small bridges like this: ![]() and found some neat trails that looked like this ![]() Went about 4 miles or so till a huge tree blocked my path so I turned around and went back. |
