Kliff, I got to admit, I don't really understand you. When I look in the AARSE thread, which I do every day, I see some of you guys out and about and having a good time. You personally make some really nice comments and seem to be a genuinely helpful person, always offering up tips and advice to some of the newer riders. You talk alot about the different projects you have going on. I personally cannot wait to see what a DR650 with a hack ends up looking like.

But then, we head over to both of the tag threads. You've not really contributed a whole lot over there, other than 'stir the pot' as you say. I know you think you're being cute but to be honest, it's just annoying. A little ribbing and poking fun is all taken in good stride and we all enjoy that, just check out the DOG thread for proof. But every time you post outside of this thread you come off as a dickhead. It's really put a sour taste in my mouth, and I can assure you that other people have mentioned it to me as well... I'm sorry to say that even 2 of your beloved AARSE's have contacted me apologizing for your behavior.

I fully understand your situation at home is not the easiest, and I feel for ya dude. But man, I just don't get it. It's like Jekyl and Hyde with you.

"Tag" to me is like a game of paintball, in the sense that it is placed and protected by one team, and sought by another. But the game doesn't end when the tag is taken, defense, just turns to offense, and vice versa. And even placements within a team, keep the tag moving.

When a tag sits, for even a few days, it becomes stagnant, and can be forgotten. So, YEAH....Dr Jeckyll comes out to stir the pot. You guys moved that tag more in one week, after retreiving it, than you had in the previous month of possesion.

It's FUN, it's a game. But if those that wanna be all thin skinned and start calling names, and making references they don't have a clue about, choose to play that way...so be it. I've been around a long time, and I don't bruise easily.

But Ass, dickhead, Jeckyll....whatever you wanna call me....seems like I got y'all all fired up, Jman and M&MM got y'all worried....and but for a technical difficulty, I'd have been in that same class as my fellow AARSE's, along with Wrangler....

All I know to tell ya Flux, is if ya can't stand the heat.... otherwise, GAME ON....go for that tag, and grab a paddle and start stirring the pot too. Cause we're coming for it, we just ain't gonna let you know when.

EDIT

BUT " I'm sorry to say that even 2 of your beloved AARSE's have contacted me apologizing for your behavior."

That is most disturbing.
I apologize to they who complained, and were not able, nor willing to confront me personally. In honor of these, 2 unknowns, I hereby withdraw from any future tag pursuits.

Better someone more discreet be the group cheer leader.... I hereby resign.

Kliff, while I appreciate that you took the time to respond, I just guess I disagree.

I'm sorry, I never called you a dickhead or any other names. What I said is you are coming off as a dickhead. Maybe you skipped my entire first paragraph where I commented on how good of a guy you are in the AARSE thread.

It's just too bad that the only people who know that you are a stand up guy are the 15 people who post in this thread.

Personally for me if that is the case I feel that people are taking it too seriously. This is all in good fun and where there is competition there will be smack talking and pot stirring that just goes without saying. We are all grown ups in here. As for the 2 AARSE's I feel the same way they should have confronted Kliff and let him know.

For the Record....

2 unknown AARSE's seem to have deemed it necessary, to apologize to Flux Capacitor, for my "behaviour" in the Ga tag threads, without the coutesy of approaching me first.

While this is troubling, there is a solution. I hereby withdraw my membership from the AARSE, and encourage those two individuals to step up, and begin the role of cheer leader's to keep things rolling, and growing. They, if they ever reveal themselves can also be your decal supplier. Sign Specialist is the supplier, "Batman" was the font.

Maybe I'll see y'all out there some time. Have fun now, ya hear!

Sorry Andy, I'll have to withdraw my support for the AARSE checkpoint as well.

Well this is taking an unfortunate turn.

The tag game does seem to have become a team sport. Them vs. us. Kliff was cheering his 'team', and ragging on the opposition, picking on their riding. The opposition took offense and responded with direct verbal attacks.

Did the truth hurt the N.Ga boys? Look at the N.Ga map. Until Az took the tag to Clayton, they were all within 20 miles of Dahlonega. Once the tag moved south they lost interest. The nearest a tag got to Augusta, in either of the GA tag threads was Thomson, 40 miles away. Then it was reclaimed, and sat atop a remote mountain, not accessable to anything but thumpers it seems. Now it sits atop a remote mountain, that is less than a mile from the previous mountain It does seem that the N.Ga boys have taken their ball home and locked it in the closet so no one else can play.

To the two AARSEs who contacted Flux, although it does sound a bit , if it did happen, I'm disappointed that you felt the need to do that. Should have spoken to Kliff directly.

Anyway, When I get a couple of days off, I'm gonna track down whatever mountain that sumbeech is on and bring it to the GA welcome center on I-20 next to the Augusta canal

Oh, forgot to say, Kliff. Stick around. You have done an excellent job organizing the AARSEs and keeping this thread going. Without you, I don't think we would be what we are today.

Well, you can call me full of shit if you want but the old saying 'the truth hurts' is true.

Ask Kliff yourselves, I sent him many PMs tonight trying to encourage him but he would be happier having everyone beg him to stay, so I'm done with it.

Not to start something here in your forum but I feel I need to say something since I am the one that placed the tag on top of the first mountain. True, it is not a place you will ride a street bike to but it is a gift. A hell of a gift, you can ask anyone who has ridden there. The clues and hints were vague for a reason. It is not the type of place that you want to broadcast over the internet. Kind of like your favorite fishing hole. The directions to the new tag are vague for a reason also, it is another gift. It is under a mile from the first tag-as the crow flies, but you will drive many miles of some of the finest FS roads in North GA to get from tag to tag.

I have given hints, advice, and even offered the use of my Beta Alp one of the rarest bikes you will find in the US to get the tag. That is far from taking the ball home and locking it in the closet. I am sorry you feel this way and sincerely hope you don't put the tag at the welcome center. That is not, in my opinon anyway, the spirit of the game. These are some really cool spots that have come up and some great rides to get there. Look at each tag as a gift. Az gave me one when he put it at Yonah because it got me out of the house for a night street ride that I haven't done in a long time and I returned the gift by placing the tag at one of my absolute favorite spots in the world.

If it is not picked up in a few days then I will go get it and move it somewhere more accessable. But in the meantime I am waiting for someone to open the gift that Darnell has left for them.

Clay

Let's all try to get a group to go to sunnyside atv this weekend, if rain comes it will be really great traction, cost is 20.00. located on 221 about 15 miles from grovetown. can meet at wafflehouse on gordon highway and 221 in harlem saturday or sunday. lots of trails and a fun perimeter trail with steep downhill and small mx track with not too many landings, lights are back on so willing to ride there and they have small concession stand for burgers and dogs. Let me know who might be interested so I can clear weekend with the wife. phone # is 706 833-7578. website is sunnysideatv.com.
