I am sitting here at work in Guangzhou China readin posts on ADV Rider bein pissed off I cant ride my new R1200GSA I just got a few weeks back. I was lucky enough to be able to sell my K1200RS as the bottom fell out for value on that one. Dealer said "You done good" Like to meet up with fellow IA riders sometime, I am in Fort Madison at least some of the time.

It might have been 50 degrees down in Fort Madison yesterday. But with all the snow you still might not have been able to ride.

Fred road his R1200GS with TKC80's on it down to the Vine on Wed and on the way there I saw a guy on a DRZ400 with studs.

The only thing I have in my garage right now is a 2005 GSX-R600 which I would only ride now if my life depended on it. I might be getting another bike soon that will certainly get road this time of year.

To all the guys out riding now be safe and know that the rest of us are living vicariously through you.

Yeah man - a Iowa student came over and bought it for what i wanted and i took almost all the farkles off and sold them on the forums and locally. He didn't bicker about price and didn't even test ride it. I cant believe it went down that way...

I am talking with Gina about a 2007 GS she is taking in on trade for my road/touring bike. And at least by spring I want a Husky TE, probably the 250 so i can really throw it around at 600acres and the trails that my buddy is building on the land he just got. But this way i can still go down some Level-B's and the Amana area as it will be street legal.

When I find a potential TE to buy I will be asking for your advise for sure. And if you see one or a KTM that is plated in IA, let me know.

That's awesome!

If it didn't come from the factory with a plate holder, it can not be tagged here in Iowa, so that 250 would not be "legal" is all I am saying. Halls in Springfield has some leftovers, might want to chat with them when you are ready. I am headed out there sometime this winter to get mine tweaked.

Wait I am really confused now, I called Hall's and they said they had a 2008 TE250 in the box that was 50 state legal? He said he would setup the suspension for 180lbs out the door for $4,700.

Did he lie to me? Or is it just the new 250's that are not legal?

If i am not doing anything when you go over there i would go with and split the gas money with you.

You may be right, I was unaware the 250's came plated is all. I never look at the smaller bikes....
