some route changes to explore

I would check this site for pretty roads that are near your route and don't bypass Balltown if you want scenic. I ride the river often, hence my 'handle" here. Have fun!

would this be a strictly paved ride, or are you fellas gonna do some dirt and gravel?

Nice bike, Craig!

regarding the route above, another way to do that would be to truck/trailer it over to a midpoint on the route on a Friday, camp out, then ride one direction (and back) Saturday, camp out again (campsite still set up) and the other direction and back on Sunday. But then I appreciated not everyone is as much as a wimp as I am when it comes to riding straight/uneventful central IA roads on a D/S bike. Anyway this is sorta like what has been done on at least one of the Great River Gravel rides.

Now that's a pretty cool concept.

Dunno. But my KTM has a tendency of wandering off the beaten path.

Nice pics. Thanks for posting. Were those concrete water crossings slippery? If the water wasn't so high, could you ride across without worrying about wiping out? Looks like a good time, maybe next time ...

hey Iowa guys, ts3doug's name is Brian Harm and I just bought his 98 magna for a stupid low price, AND Brian was COMPLETELY transparant about a fuel tank vent valve issue; AND he DELIVERED it to me in southern indiana! For Free! He wouldn't accept more! He is by far the nicest guy I've ever met in my life and 110% honest guy!

So answer his damn question ?!?

Guess I'm not really as nice as Brian, LOL.

Wish he was in our louisville Riders group.

Later B, bike is totally awesome dude.

I looked the route over and it appears to be all paved, but Orange said he has a tendancy to wander off the path, so it sounds like gravel and dirt roads are a possibility.
