I tried to ride in the snow once. A neighbor helped me pick it up and push it back into the garage.

Yea, but not as sick as the guy on the 950.

So are you back here, or still hibernating in that God forsaken desert?

I was threw your hometown (Batavia) a couple of times this week. Went to Florida Bass fishing last week. That must be your place just east of town. The one with the lake. Beautiful!

Here is my new F800GS. Looking forward to exploring IA this year and taking it out on a trip to the Tetons and Yellowstone this September.

Did you get that at Gina's? When are we going exploring?

I did get it from Gina's. That is a really nice shop and she was great with answering all of my questions. Nothing set in stone here for exploring but looking to do it soon. Any recommendations for places to check out?

I think Gina's may be the best motorcycle shop in Iowa.
I usually do my exploring in Missouri, It's like going back in time 100 years when you cross the border.

Hey fellas,
New to the forum here so I thought I'd stop in the "Iowa" corner and say hey. As you've probably guessed I'm a KLR guy. (09) I'm just East of Cedar Rapids about 10 miles or so and am looking forward to putting on some miles this year. I've spent the past couple months setting up my bike to do some comfortable traveling with. I'd be really interested in meeting up with any of you guys to do some riding or BS'ing about bikes. My intentions are to do a few 3-4 day rides this year to get a good handle on what my or my bikes limitations are. I'm not weird or annoying ( as far as I know ), but I do like to have a good time and enjoy myself when time allows........I'm guessing most of the guys on here fit that same persona.

I would definitely be up for meeting people in the area for some rides. I am planning my first long ride this fall out to Yellowstone and the Tetons and want to do a couple of weekend trips prior to going. Get a feel for long days riding and testing different setups and gear.
