It seems that many of us were there, but matching a name to a face in that crowd...
I was the " loaded for bear " Orange Tiger that gave you a big thumbs-up on 80.
In retrospect, I guess we could have planned meeting a little better.
Still, it was a good time, what a great day for a ride.
Trials bike. Why don't I have one?

I survived and had a great time. A lot of very creative people with some amazing ideas. Looking forward to next year.

Right on! Maybe we should do a meet N greet for ADVers next year? I haven't miss a VTF yet, and I do not plan on it ever happening!

I could toss out a list of excuses, knee surgery last December...fixed and good to go...that one won't work.
Trip to Alaska in June, hmmm, money for trials bike consumed, that one works.
I had a few many years back, Honda TL250 (pretty heavy as I recall), 3 Bultaco Sherpa T's, wish I still had at least one of those. I really hate to say this...Next year.......

For most I know that to be true, I seem to be able to pull off the impossible.
Ok, how's this, I should start shopping for one when I get home from Alaska.
I am sure to have all kinds of extra money left over, vacations never cost near as much as expected..

You could buy the trials bike and ride it to Alaska. That would be more adventurous than the typical KLR, GS or Adventure bikes.

Is that home and the practice area in the picture? Thanks, again for the extra straps to hold the helmet box on my GSA, worked great and I sure like the new helmet I bought at Gina's.

I need to work a few things out on my bike, but hope to be riding it daily by the end of the month. I might have to meet up with some of you if you get close to Ames like you did at Hickory Park the other week. I own a small automotive repair shop a stones throw from Hickory Park so it would be pretty convenient. Here are a few pics of my bike if anyone is interested, I hated the flat blat paint with the blue seat. I still need to finish painting the tank and doing a few maintenance items.

Current with new rack.

I also was at Gina's and met halcyon rider and his buddies. Thank you halcyon for swaping me seats as it seems to be an improvment. I also met the previous owners of my bike , Mike and his brother who I think are inmates. Thanks for the service manual. So with all that, free lunch, and entertainment it was a real good day. I too would like to meet and greet with you Iowa guys if I could get away sometime.
