got the family out to play this weekend in my moms timber along the iowa river
me on the husky, my daughter on the z50r and the fiance and her son on my stepdads four wheeler. ![]() ![]() then we spent the rest of the afternoon playing at their pond. the thing is just shy of 60 foot deep and stocked with fish! ![]() and just had to get this pic when they were sitting there. my very first motorcycle, hanging out with my most recent motorcycle purchase. thought it was kinda cool.

The wife and I are heading up there this Aug. Is Kakabeka Falls open, or is it still closed off from the flooding?

Excellent. I let the wife know and she`s glad for sure. I was wondering since they had all that rain earlier this year and heard of all the flooding. Thanks for the info and pix.

So is anybody else here planning on going to the WI Guzzi Rally? There's usually a good ADV turnout. I may not be a big flag waver for the state of Iowa but seriously, do you guys really want a guy named Mike From Montana representing your state?
Lots of twisty roads and FREE BEER, (free pop if you don't imbibe) http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=802266

![]() And yeah yeah, you V-max guys love giving shit to the Magna guys, that's fine by me. I wouldn't trade mine for the old V-max (too much sweat equity), but one of the new ones I think I could do it for

420 miles around Iowa
Hey, I think I passed eemsreno yesterday near Batavia. You were headed east on 34 and I was headed towards Eldon. I want to get with you and ride some of the trails down that way.
Here's a few pictures from my run yesterday to Fort Madison and back. Carlisle, IA: ![]() Knoxville, IA -- National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Visiting a friend in Fort Madison. I haven't seen Sam since about 2000 when she ran a shop in Triangle, Virginia: ![]() Recognize the house? Grant Wood? American Gothic? Eldon, Iowa? ![]() I've discovered along the way a couple of things about my bike. First, I need a better seat. Either that or I need to forget about maintaining any feeling in my a$$ after about the third hour of riding. Second, I need a Kaiko throttle lock to give my wrist a little break. Third, when I install the Kaiko, I need some better grips. The waffle grips are fine most of the time, but they are very uncomfortable after about the ninth hour on the bike.

Yes that was me. I told my wife and Eric that I seen you. What trails? We are just trespassing all the time. You could get shot riding with us.
