Wanna ride fun roads? Head to the east coast on the Mississippi.

Lots of fun exploring around there, then head for the twisty's on the Wisconsin side.

I lived in the Boone area the first 20 years of my life nothing to see there.

Wow, I've got some choices now. Thanks for the suggestions. Going to be doing some serious map studying now.

Great Riding in the mountains!

I road to New Mexico for a workshop between July 22 to 27. Those mountain roads are great to ride on.
I should have submitted part of my ride for an Iron Butt trip.

Find a trailer light tester at auto parts store or here at the Harbor Freight.

Thanks for the help Mark.. I gave up trouble shooting and installed a new 7 prong. Presto, Lights! And I'm outta here!

I didn't want to try and organize a inmate group ride pilgrimage since this is my first shake down trip.. But maybe next time.. If I make it back

Had a great ride today, went out to the Earlham exit(104) on I-80, then started hitting dirt. Ended up at Walnut before heading north to Hwy-44 and back home. Hit a few B maintenance roads as well. The Pirelli MT-60Rs handled it all great. Just relaxing at home with some Absinthe.

Dang Trev,

Stop teasing me with pictures of my old girl! I am glad to see you are getting good use out of her!

How many miles since I delivered her to you in Dubuque??

Raced a little MX Saturday...did a little dual sporting yesterday close to home. Nothing impressive, just a nice day to be out and dink around.

The Wapsi is damn near dry.

I was bored.

Got thirsty.

A little bit farther towards Stone City the Wapsi looks even dryer.

And, bored again.

T-Minus 40 hours to lift-off.

Leaving here around 4ish on Wednesday and headihng to the SW corner of the state before crossing over into Nebraska. Taking 34 across Nebraska as far as Fort Morgan, CO. Then slabbing it the rest of the way into Denver to meet my wife at the Hampton Inn on Zuni.

Then a little fun with the Denver Eurotrash Motorcycle Club before getting up bright and early on Friday morning and heading for Ouray and the Million Dollar Highway. 2 days of riding the roads of SW Colorado then back to Denver on Monday and back to Des Moines on Tuesday.

This will be my first camping trip on the Multi and my first wild camp since Boy Scouts.

I built up a nice bracket for my GPS/XM antenna/dual 12v outlets. Mounted up the radar detector and second GPS and the GoPro mount. Also have a bracket for my handheld GPS if things get sketchy. And I even have a solar panel in my tank bag if I run out of places to plug things in

Looking forward to the trip as it will be the precursor to more elaborate trips in the future.
I will be due new tires when I get back and am still debating either the Conti TKC80s for full on backroads bombing or a set of Pilot Road 3s...

Anyway, I will do a full on ride report once I get back. I am taking my laptop with me to log from the road so lets see what happens.
