I just wanted to say hey. I'm sure I'll run into people I know on here. I'm a nerd, so I'm active on other message boards and am out and about enough that I have probably met a few of you at one time or another.

I joined because, well, why not?

i've been around this a bit and it wasn't fun to get them sorted. All said and done...round slides like they put on older snowmobiles are much easier to jet and the difference in throttle response is negligible (my opinion anyway). And are cheap on ebay but then it sounds like you are working with a bike that already has flats?

The 85 Vmax was outfitted with four kiehins from UFO. Four cable pulls..

The bike runs ok, but rich. Never fouls a plug but I know there is more hp and since its unfiltered air, I'm sure they need a good tear down and cleaning. I havent found much info on how to disassemble/tune and hoped one day Id find someone local who could walk me through at one carb and then could return to sync them. From what Im told they are simple.. But... yea.. I don't have the guts to remove them since the bike runs ok now. And I dont trust the stealership.

Beautiful day to ride

Took some time this afternoon to get to know my latest purchase a little...38 miles of mostly gravel. Can't be many days like this left this year.

Took advantage of the weather today also, took off from work for an hour and took my bike out.

I rode my cyclocross bike. That qualifies as a dual sport.

I rode my Trek 8.5 DS.

No spandex though.

You should look up the Katy Trail down in MO. Planning a trip next year for that. Can't do RAGBRAI next year. :(

Sent from my iPhone 4 because I am too cheap to buy the new iPhone 5!!

did about 90 miles today but was slightly under dressed for the temps. Will wear sno bibs next time. Popped a fuse mid-ride (my fault...fumbled the electric vest plug) but had a spare. Hadn't been out for awhile so it felt good just to ride.
