We did 95 miles today on the Brushpoppers DS ride. This is a good event.

snowhawk

Anyone ride one of these?

http://www.motosportsthibeault.com/

Just about the only thing that's peaked my interest lately.

Does Iowa consider them snowmobiles?

I have thought about a SnoHawk or a ski conversion for my dirt bike. But there is a reason they always show those guys blasting through powder, because that's where the monoski machines work best. And when was the last time you saw two feet of powder in Iowa?

LOL.. If it's anything like last year.. I feel for the guys who expected to ride their sleds..

No.. I knew if I really wanted to have fun with a snow-hawk or conversion I would have to go back to Colorado. Darn it! lol

No idea. I don't 'shop' there. I think it's wholesale-only.

They're probably open, when I'm asleep anyway.

95%offroad....
I'm not in the immediate Quad City area....about 45 minutes north near Bellevue, IA. We've got some farm land (fields, pastures, and timber) to ride along with some scenic back roads. Let me know if your up in my neck of the woods sometime!!

gotta go North as needed!

But for the bikes, just throw some screws in the tires and go have fun. If the trail is 1/2 ice/snow and the rest frozen dirt...it still works. Sure the screws wear down but it takes awhile and they are relatively cheap. You don't need to go nuts with it like the ice racers to have fun.
