Hehe quite literally "Ducati in the Rockies 2013" or more affectionately known as "DitR 2013".
We have held it every year since 2004 the second full weekend of August in Ouray, Colorado. There is a Facebook page somewhere. Anyway, usually a pretty good turn out. I tend to ride out taking 2 days to get to Denver because I do the backroads through Nebraska or Kansas. Arrive at Ouray from Denver on Friday, ride Saturday, ride Sunday, back to Denver Monday and then beeline for DSM on Tuesday. This is about half the group from last year. For some reason, those of us that rent condos for the weekend always sleep in and miss the group photo. LOL.

A bunch of speed triple guys and I hit Ouray in 2011 as part of a 2 week trip. I liked that area a lot.

If it is Pearl, I would have liked to be there just to watch. It would not be an easy time getting those loaded pigs over Pearl, especially from the north.

My buddy Greg and I usually split off from the rest of the group. Most of them can't keep up with us on the pavement and they won't go where we go off the pavement.

Hay, I have been over Engineer and I plan on taking my wife over it this summer.
Pearl is the tough one, I hope to get my Tenere over it one of these days, And yes from the North is the Good way. I have been over it from the north three times. This is from when I went over it with my daughters hubby. ![]()

That don't look so tough!
![]() ![]() Yeah...I was surprised at how easy Engineer was. I think Imogene is on tap for me for this year.

Imogene is good.
I hope to take my wife up it this year. I rode my daughter up to the top from Ouray years ago. The Tenere rally is at the end of June so them passes may still be snowed in. I rode up Black Bear once and it was snowed in [First week of Aug.] |
