Bought myself a new bike today, it''s out in California so I do not have it in my hands just yet. Funny enough when talking to my father about the purchase unknown to me he actually also bought a bike in California today also which is only a few hundred miles away from mine. Rather pay a transporter money to ship I gave him gas money and he is heading out tomorrow morning to pick both bikes up. Crappy pics but it is a 03 Z1000

Yea, I should have kept mine too. Good bike for it's intended purpose. I think KTM took a step backwards with the 690. If they could have just put the new motor in a slightly updated 640 chassis, I would have bought one.

I'm somewhere in between, with some love of the 950 Adventure mixed in. I'd like a 650 V-twin rally bike; something like the original Honda Transalp. KTM appears to be moving towards a Superduke/Adventure 1190, which just doesn't interest me at all. I want a road-worthy rally bike. The 950 is a little large for trails through the woods, and thumpers are a little small for travel. Why don't manufacturers make that bike somewhere in the middle???

I would be all over that too. I like my 990 but the 640 was a lot more fun in the gravel.

Grats on the new bike Levi. Still think your dad should swing through Colorado Springs and pick those speakers up for me...they are only 96lbs a piece!

Anybody thinking of going to the Swinging Bridges ride in Missouri in May???

http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=858276

I'm thinking about going but would prefer to have somebody to ride with down and back. I'm in West Des Moines.

I think I'm going to order Heidenau K60 Scouts next. They look pretty good overall. I currently have a good Scorpion rear, but my front it trash.

I run K60s on the Tenere
My boy runs Mefos on his 990
I got 14,000 out of my last rear K60
They are good but could be better, they really get flat treadded.
Start looking like snow tires

Do you run the K60s, or the K60 Scouts. The Scouts look a little more aggressive, but they also don't really have a lot a tread depth from what I can see. 14K on a rear. That's a lot in my book!

Naw, but the tenere would be great on the two track!
And yes, im still here!

Love to do some iowa rides this year on the big bike. Maybe i could strap 125 on the back on the tenere for more offroad options.

Anyone going to SLAP in Arkansas this May? I'm riding down from NW Iowa on a DL1000. Would enjoy some company.
