Riding through Iowa

A little road trip Friday through Sunday.

No specific destination. I'm just out to enjoy a couple of days of riding. I know it will be mainly through the middle of Iowa and then south before heading back into Nebraska.

Will be on a black Yamaha Vstar 1100. Black trunk bag. Yellow travel bag.

If you see me, be sure to say hello. I enjoy meeting fellow riders.

John Wayne

Finally took the ride to see where John Wayne was born. There are also some bridges there too .

We will be rough camping or camping in campgrounds outside of some of the towns. Depends on the mileage we make each day.

We are starting on the 7th and need to be in Steamboat by the 11th for the KTM Rally.

We are going from Four Corners to Steamboat, so south to north.

A KTM ADV on a trailer , is she sick?

Did you park her to close to a group of riders from Sturgis??

You'll have to forgive Brad...but his KTM has been known to randomly shed parts and leave them at the dealer for weeks at a time.

And I can say that because my Duc does the same thing.

On the plus side, finally got my bike back. Doug found the front ABS sensor wire has been partially rubbed through.
Also couldn't find anything new on the rear brake so I am supposed to video my foot and typical interaction with the rear brake during a ride.

But yeah...I am just happy to have my bike back. Even did a little celebratory power wheelie in front of the shop upon leaving...

My meager little DR hates trailers, and has yet to shed a part. The U.P., Canada, all over WI...all from Iowa. Surely that giant 950 can muster a run to CO and back.
