I am making a trip from Michigan to Des Moines, IA Sept 23-25th. Anyone in the Keokuk area have a bed for a wayward traveler and a place to stow a WeeStrom overnite on Sept 24th? And also....how is that river museum there in Keokuk? Interesting? I can be PMed also. Thanks.

Still out in Colorado myself. Stayed in Ouray last night. Tried to cross Imogene pass yesterday with the loaded tiger 800 unsuccessfully. Million dollar highway was amazing to ride on though

Hint: Imogene pass is a piece of cake on a real dirt bike.

Scratches give a street bike character though. If I dropped that thing, I couldn't pick it back up.

The mountain bike would be more durable.

You should be staying in a $500 a night B&B.

It looks like an expensive town. Try some more passes tomorrow. Last dollar road was neat. Bike overheated at the top. Here I found a rock stuck in the radiator fan.

Looks like you did good to me.
It's tougher than Mosquito which is the highest motor pass.

I was in Ouray yesterday. I took the easy route to Lake City on the BDR. I barely made it over Ophir the day before, and my carbed 950 refused to make it up the last 200 yards of Corkscrew. Here's some of the fun I had on Ophir. It's a bit more challenging when the bike won't run. :)
