Tore into the zuma last night to see why it was balking at going over 25. The airbox was not seated on the carb at all! I think that might have it cured up. Should be testing it this afternoon. If that is all mine was then I got a STEAL of a deal. Need a new clamp on the oil line as the current one is not sealing good. ACE hardware to the rescue.

Broke a ring putting them on the new piston last night. $33 down the drain, will order another set soon once I see if the carb needs anything.

I got home from surgery about 11am. I should be back to riding in about a month I hope. They already said I could drive.

Fixed up the oil line. buttoned it up and still has bad stumble at wide open throttle. Will be tearing the carb apart tomorrow. Got a new front end for the CT for $30.

Well I need to spend another $35 on rings that broke the other night. Might as well buy 2 more moped for $100 and possibly make 2 runners total or use what I need and part the rest and possibly make my $$ back. Trying to keep this a cheap hobby. Best case, get two runners, sell one for $250 to you and be a wash

Hell my free Trail 70 parts list is already nearing $500 and that is sans any new chrome/paint/powdercoat.

I put my ct70 parts in a document and linked to each vendor that sells them to pick the cheapest ones. my parts list is $200 so far but will have to wait. Still working on the zuma. IT is gonna need about $150 so far to get it smoothed out I think. I did send off the documents for the 74 CT70 to try and get a a bonded title for it so I can get a plate. If that fails I will probably sell it disassebled if you want to pick it up cheap. I have a 71 front end for it too sitting in a box.

Jeebus! What else is wrong with Zuma? You could just about get a pipe or a piston kit for that kind of money.

piston won't help a worn belt and torque spring and variator weights. and the coil and wire needed to be replaced as it was hack jobbed together. Not quite $150 but to do it right. I gotta keep it clean and neat in my head.
