I tore mine down when I got home, skid plate, plastics, etc. I was surprised how clean I got it. Lubed it up and it's sat ever since.

anybody doing any riding today or tomorrow? Some of you are probably at the GRGR. I wasn't organized in time to do that one but might be up for another CR area ride.

define "a bit"? If I go, it will probably be trucking to a start point somewhere, and riding at least a few hours. There are a few nice roads in the Vinton area, I haven't explored much between there and CR, maybe that has potential.

I gotta ask...there are several members in this thread really into scooters, CT70s, etc....do you guys ride them, or buy them to fix up and sell?

I bought my first two. this summer.
a yamaha zuma 97 model. for $200. Wife is riding it to school when it isn't raining.
The CT70 was $100 I had the motor......many parts later It will be my scooter. Being here in Iowa City everyone has scooters to ride around for school. For the prices It seemed like the thing to do. Since I have 2 motors that fit it.

I wrench as much as I ride. probably more. Most of the bikes I buy were below $500

Cold weather Craigslist sales are jumping...
The des moines craigslistings today did not even fit on one page. I guess the cold snap got everyone thinking they need to clean out the garage.

Rode it in today, filled it up with 1.0 gallons, and it hits 35+ downhill (speedo tops at 30) and hold 30+ on gradual inclines. I am pumped and it's a score for $100, thanks for posting it. Hard to loose $ on a deal like this. I'm ridin dirty today with the Husky plate on it

Isn't a fiddy just about the only vehicle you can actually operate right now?
