awesome! glad to hear it worked out.

side note for me... my tacoma shat the bed and blew a nice white plume of smoke out the exhaust and died today. luckily it was in the driveway when it happened. Not sure if I am going to replace it, sell it, or fix it yet. Its a 2001 with 135k miles. Anyone got any ideas or a buddy that likes to fix cars? I love working on bikes but my cars I only do the oil and brakes. The rest goes to the mechanic.

4 or 6cyl? I have done 4's a few times on the older 22RE and it's not bad. I would hate to work on a 3.4 personally. I have owned the 3.0 pig and a 3.4 and both were bears in most aspects just to change oil. If it's a 4 and you want to sell it, I might know of someone.....

Sounds like a head gasket. Check the oil and coolant for the dreaded milkshake. I'd be happy to help out if you decide to repair it.

If you guys see another $100 or $200 scoota let me know I would love to have one too. I have to run to the P.O. and bank everyday because of my business and that would be perfect.

Might have gotten lucky and it just let go and no warpage was had. I smoked my 22RE back in the day, but I flogged that truck for 4+ years wheeling it and several flops and a couple roll overs. I had it back up and running in a couple weeks and had the head decked flat again just to make sure. I would love another Toyota 4cyl...used to have a 2WD taco and wish I had kept it (I used to have a toyota fetish)

Never used that one - thanks. I have been using crazedlist.org, same thing I think.

Wait a sec - did I pull you out of a ditch about 3 months ago on a rainy day on those Amana Level-B's with my Land Rover?
