A Truely Inspiring Story

Reading this story was the biggest bump for me to finally buy a dual-sport and start riding. I've managed to work my way through story in (3) 4 hour sittings and this is a great report. I'll buy a copy of the book when it comes out!

Neil.

Simply outstanding, I only found this thread a few days ago, and have now caught up.
This is the best read I have found in a long while.
I for one, will wait as long as it takes to get the rest of the story.
Rogue 1, you are the real deal !!!!!!!!!

Wicked Thank you

Well, I have gotten this far, mostly by reading at work. It has taken 2 weeks, I think, and I, like the rest, await with bated breath for the next installment.

Roll on, Rogue, you rogue!

Get a sense of humor people, he is not trying to be insulting, atleast I don't think he is.

Incredible thread, Rogue. I've been hanging around Advrider for a year now, and I can't believe that I hadn't stumbled on this until last Friday.

After a few pages of looking at pictures I decided to actually read your commentary (okay... I admit that the first pic of Karen in her beemer roadster made sit up and take notice of the commentary! ). So, I went back to page one. And started to read.

So....

Couple of hours on Friday. An hour or so on Saturday. Another hour in the morning on Sunday. A couple of hours yesterday. And about 90 minutes this morning. Now Im caught up and theres still more to come! I remember as a kid when I read the Lord of the Rings I was saddened to finish. Saddened that Frodo, Gandalf, Bilbo, and all the other dwarves and elves left Middle Earth to allow for the ever more boring age of man to begin. When I was reading this thread somewhere around page 45 it dawned me that this adventure, too, would be over soon. Im thrilled to finish page 52 and still have more to go. Middle Earth lives and the age of man can wait!

So why is this thread so different? Lots of posters have said so. My feeling is that the motorcycle element of this thread is incidental, and the adventure is your road to self discovery. We all love it because we wish we had the chutzpah (or more appropriately for this thread, the cajones ) to do what youre doing. Keep it coming, Rogue. And keep it coming at your own pace. I'm in no hurry for this to end since its too fun vicariously living through you!

To all the noobs giving JohnW shit,

How are JohnW's posts ruining it for you? If you're so obsessed with his posts that you're letting them affect your perception of an awesome thread, you deserve what you get. If it wasn't for guys like JohnW bumping this thread, it would sit somewhere around page 50 of this forum between Rogue's updates, and a lot of people enjoying it today would be unaware of it. If it's gonna be bumped by a non-Rogue post, personally I'd rather read one of JohnW's posts, which at least are humorous, than a pissy one by some self-appointed hall monitor. Rogue's not fussed by it, why should you be? He doesn't need you defending him, chill out.

Why apologize? Just because a very few of the readers have no sense of humor and complain is no reason to back off. Perhaps you should look at the number of hits this thread gets and the number of people who have posted to it and figure the percentages. I betcha it's less than 2%. There's nothing wrong with your posts, John - keep communicating!

What's hard about this?

To me, everything but the story is just so much chaff in the wind. Ignore what you don't like and wait patiently.

Rogue will finish his story in time.
