OK schmuckos....Been doing some planning in the other South Flatistan thread....Looks like we're going to meet @ Bayshore & 75 around 7:30 Saturday morning. From there, we'll go to the Oasis visitor center down on 41 to meet up with the Miami guys around 9-9:15... We'll be doing Loop and Turner River Roads....

I'm really looking forward to this as I wasn't able o stick around on the ride there a few weeks ago.

So far, there is confirmation from:
Me
Timmy

Who else wants to go???

Edit: I'm coming up on my 1,000th post.....I better think of something brilliant to say....

Gas is available at US29 and 41 right near turner river road.

Not sure where you are starting from but from the 4 corners gas station at 41and krome to us29 is about 60 miles I believe.

I've been meaning to check out turner river road.
I have done loop several times, Jane's memorial scenic and flight 591 memorial on the levy.

I knew that didn't sound quite right, thanks.

Just past krome on us 41 you can cross over and ride on the road next to the canal and exit back to 41 past the memorial. I don't think you are supposed to ride up on the levy road but have seen cars up there too. Some sharp rock up there though.

No, there is a gate on that levy/road. The only way to the actual location is air boat anyway.
They have the memorial pointing to the site near by.

About 13 or 15 miles.

If you filled up at us29 and 41 on your way from Ft. Meyers, you should be good. Then you could fill up again at 41 (8th street) and krome just past the end of the levy.

It's pretty fun to look over at the traffic on us41 when riding on the levy, they aren't having nearly as much fun nor can they see as much.
