Beautiful, but what's it like?
I'm intensely curious about the F800GS. Any of you lucky owners with the great pics care to give your poorer cousins across the pond any reviews on your bikes?

Pure as the day she was born
Here are first-day pix of my 650GS Twin, on the dealer lot before lift-off on June 30.
Views with maybe a twist: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And finally, a more traditonal view: ![]() Love this bike. But it's still kinda naked because I'll have to wait till next spring to begin the dress-up. I'll be away all winter, leaving end of September. I'm conserving cash for the trip and will simply have to wait to personalize my machine.

Great looking bikes. Thanks for posting those.
Anybody fit some real tires and get one muddy yet? I'm curious how they hold up to more aggressive off-road. |

New F800GS in San Diego, CA
F800GS numero uno has been prepped and ridden in SD, CA. Picked it up this afternoon. A few pics below at the dealership. Got dealer-installed bashplate and crash-bars (more pics later). Wow. What a bike. What a gear-box. What power (way more than my old K75S!). Can't wait to get past the break-in period...
![]() Huge grins - this is a SUPER bike. ![]() ![]() Just before take-off at San Diego BMW Motorcycles. ![]() Getting the scoop - probably on the Varios at this point. What a SWEET bike!

![]() Pics of my test drive of a (dropped) 800 at BMW NC: http://www.flickr.com/photos/n8foo/s...7607037663181/ I loved the bike, mine is on it's way. No real complaints, on a hot day it might get warm...blows hot air on my legs. I don't really like the BMW controls, but I guess I'll get used to them...otherwise, the bike rules. Motor is great, transmission is great, can't wait to get mine! -N8
