Hey Dukedar, I went through the same thing in October 08 when I took delivery of the first 800GS ever delivered by Moto International!

Have fun with your bike, PM me if you wanna ride!

Five of us were interviewed about our choices for the bike, plus they had a more or less stock bike with Vario panniers from BMW NA, and the fully loaded Touratech F800GS with a prototype set of Zega Pros. (That's the bike you see in front there in the previous post.) It was an awesome weekend. I learned a LOT, both from Helge and Stirling, and from the other guys there. I think it's going to be a very worthwhile DVD. I'm not sure when it will be released.

@guzzimike: The TT bike, and five of the seven others there (including mine) had TKC-80s fitted. I am very happy with them.

@100mpg: All clothes remained on during filming.

And since this is the pic thread after all....

That's my bike in the foreground, with the Metal Mules.

I was supposed to go to this and bring my 800 but couldn't as I had family commitments for Easter weekend. Hope everyone had fun.

Given the location of the picture, it would have to be a mountain lion.

How is the bike with no windshield, compared to the stock one?

Does it reduce the bufeting or does it get even worst, at say.... 60mph

I'm 5'11 and I find it better than the stock and BMW touring windscreens.
At all speeds the air hitting my helmet is just like the the air you get when you stand up. Although over 60mph I do notice having to hold on quite a bit tighter.

Here are some more pics without the screen.
