You will have about 100 people to follow, and orange arrows pointing the way.

The Meteor DS is a great ride and is right smack dab in the middle of the Pine Barrons. You get the full sand experience doing that one. It was cancelled last year though. They've been having issues with all the earthy crunchies down there for a few years now and last year the crunchies won.

The Hammer is a better ride but it's not technically in the Pine Barrons so you won't see the amount of sand that people talk about. There is sand but not nearly as much as you'd see up in the Pine Barrons. Either one is worth the 5-6 hour drive. It'd be good to get a group of Pachaug guys to go down there.
check out the sandy lane enduro 3/18 in the pine barrons, its a good enduro.

Looks like some snow is on the way. It could be really good conditions, if we get 4-6 inches and it melts down a bit and hardens up. Thad or Ed, if you need studded tires, I got a set you could borrow. I wouldn't recommend you ride without studs, but Thad you already new that, right? That's something AA's know better too, is what equipment to use.

If it wasn't for all the rocks, roots, trees, hills, mud, ruts, logs, sand, and lack of tar, I'd be a damn good off-road rider!

The way I remember you were the first up that knarly hill climb. The time i was waiting for you I was gasping like a fish out of water. What a ride!!
