Make that canadian bacon while its here...we'll be riding for years to come! I think a morning ride to anywhere would be great...even Loop Road...

I wish I took some pics of the stuff around the lake, plenty of mud there but it looked like the deep mud was mostly avoidable as well. I want to bring the DRZ back there.
My friend had never been out adventure riding before, she had a good time riding on the back of the KLR and holding on for life and limb. Like I mentioned we went over for the Indy race in homestead on Sat, and I figured I would do some exploring on Sunday. We camped in my home made toy hauler Sat night at everglades holiday park - an interesting experience for sure (not the fanciest of places and I'm glad I brought earplugs, those peacocks are crazy loud at 5am.) Since none of us knew the area that well, all we could do was search until we found places to ride. Unfortunately most of the levies have these little yellow gates blocking the entrances. We did find lots of gravel and rocky trails that I was having a good time exploring. I'll definitely take the KLR back to those sometime. We were out there a couple of hours and only explored maybe 5% of them. After riding we stopped at the tiki hut biker hangout across the street from everglades holiday park and had a bite and a couple of cold ones. It was great meeting Eric and I hope I can meet more of you guys next time. Here's a few pics, I'll post more later. ![]()

Cool to see some pics of my old stomping ground. The mosquitos at Holiday Park will drink all your blood and steal your beer. We used to go shooting out there off of Chrome Ave, they put a stop to that in the early 90s. You guys keep poking around and you may find some old limerock pits to ride in. I wasnt riding back then, but we used to shoot in them.

There is an area on Krome south of US 41 where the painball guys have an area they use. As to finding things......A while back, I was riding with some other folks and we found an abandoned fishing rod, chair and cooler but no angler....We have no clue as to what happened, but there were a lot of 'gators in the area.... If that person slipped and fell in.....
