Leaves or no leaves, I am in for riding this weekend! I'll try to get another GS rider from down south. What day, Sat or Sun?

That's what happens when you work in the Sanders Chop Shop......
![]() You soon become over populated with bikes and parts...... ..I think the DRZ should be ridden on the levees but that's up to you.. ....I think I know the way pretty much through the levees but we have to decide if we need to go to snake road for gas or just straight up to Clewiston.......That everyone will need to decided....I'm bad about gauging the fuel...... I know those GS people don't have to worry but us smaller bikes have issues..... It is supposed to be a non-rainy weekend....whoo...hooo..... Shall we meet at the Everglades Holiday Park Sat. morning....9amish????? |

I am sure I can navigate us thru the same path we took last time. Pop into Clewiston for gas and a snack. Then back down snake road to the side road on the reservation and then the other canal to Holeyland Pump station

The levee along the Miami canal has that diversion and y'all need to take the first bridge to the east and go around that gap before going west on the next bridge. Remember where John talked to the LEO there??
It is simple....really....honest.... I just don't know about riding yet as the homestead has a major issue with the roof....

weekend
Finally weve got somewhere
)))) Now, PLEASE someone , tell me how, when, and so on. Ill be on DRZ, have 60-80 miles range; I need to know approximate route, what would be better for me to bring DRZ to park, or drive it there ( 30 miles on knobbys). With me will be 2 more riders 1 KLX 250, and 1 BMW 800GS; For bigger bikes distance and speed almost nothing, for smaller ones 250, 400 cc on knobbys
))) And
. C-K, YES, I said Corbett )))) We can go there as well )))) There a lot of Levees , good Mexican food not too far, and other interesting roads)))) So
. Where are we going

Time/Date: 9 a.m. Sat. 9/18/2010
Meeting Place: Everglades Holiday Park....West end of Griffin Rd. If you are coming from the South get on US 27 N and go west at Griffin Rd. I am on a DR350SE and do just fine riding.....No need to trailer but that is your decision. I do not have a GPS route for you but others may have....we take 27N to the Holeylands entrance and that is where we start riding parallel with the levees. Northward to Clewiston to the tiki hut....Roland Martin's fishing rest. Then we ride back..... Hope that helps......Others can chime in......we have had several small bikes make this trip.....even street bikes......who don't mind their plastics taking a beating......
