Anybody check out Gander Mountain up in Palm Beach? I want to look at a new tent and more compact sleeping bag. Outdoor World/Bass Pro Shops doesn't carry much, all low end basic stuff. Might be a good street ride tomorrow.

Gander Mountian has a little more camping stuff, but if you are looking for ultra light stuff you might have to get it from an online distributor like REI.com or Campmor.com.

The Gander Mountain is right off North Lake Blvd it's north of the West Palm Area. The store sits off the road in kind of a weird location a couple blocks back. You will swear you missed a turn. You can't see it from North Lake.

Some outdoor store - most of that Gander mountain's parking lot is made for small car parking. They have these weird diamond islands between all parking spaces (narrow parking spaces) that throw a full-sized longer truck out into the drive area. Don't feel bad about taking up two spots to park in-between their islands if you show up in a pickup truck.

While headed east from I-95 on Northlake, just before the road to Gander (that, as stated previously, looks like it only leads to a residential area) is a Starbucks coffee place in the front of a mall. If you turn there like you're headed into Starbucks, you can eventually snake back to Gander.

I have off tomorrow, and normally would like to ride with someone - but I ride that stretch of I-95 back and forth four or five days a week from Pompano Beach, and I don't know anything good about that ride, lol (and my back needs a couple days rest - I ride the one motorcycle every day to work). I do know that, when heading north, approx 12 seconds after going under the last bridge before the Hypoluxo exit, in the lane next to the HOV lane, is a rough spot and holes to avoid on the left side of the lane. Just before the next exit, Latana, there are three minor-depth but large potholes on the left side of of the HOV lane.

I've got a few more cracks memorized, but not their specific locations... 320 cycle miles a week of the same roads, minimally, does that to ya.

Not looking for ultra light stuff so much as high-end gear that is less bulky than my current gear.

Yep, so sad. I was there to buy some boots as they were near closing, selling all the fixtures.

Used to go there as a kid for scout stuff, and through the years for various supplies.
