It really did suck that the area was closed. Can you find out when it might open, or at least a hotline phone number so we can check?

I am going to check into the ORV area at Everglades Park off US41. I have heard mixed reports about them allowing bikes, but they allowed my Land Cruiser, so why not bikes???

I will get back to you this week. It might be really really wet out there.

IMHO the 'Glades area's won't be accessible 'till the flooding stops, as most of that land south of US41 is even lower than Holyland...Maybe another Loop road ride?? Turner river?? I'll bring raingear for all that splashing you guys are so good at....

All right.. we will hold on the ORV area for a while. Lets start planning a Sat morning ride to either Loop road or Turner.

0830 at US41 & US27 gas station?

Here is my planned route to go see the first Indianapolis MotoGP tomorrow:

On the way up I plan on traversing The Dragon's Tail at Deal's Gap. On the return trip I will stop by the BMW camp in Spartanburg SC.

If not, then I might try to come over from Cape Coral..... Can probably try to drag along a few other schmuckos from the Ft. Myers/Naples area.....

Bring your schmuckos for the ride. We meet Saturday morning in Miami at US-41 & Krome Ave at the gas station around 8:30am.

Hey all, I have been lurking on this forum for quite some time. I just purchased and picked up a TransAlp. I have always wanted one and the time was right. I have not gone through it yet but plan to do some preventative maintenance this week.
I am at my Parents house for two weeks. I work two on two off in the Gulf of Mexico. Looking to see if there is anyone that might want to ride. I saw the ride you guys are taking to Miami. Not sure if the bike and me are ready for that. Still have to get some riding gear. Would be interesting though.

I do see Har(d)ley's on Loop road at times, but now that it is a bit flooded all you need is rain gear...The FF's that rode it 2 weeks back had way too much fun.. see pics in previous posts..
