That WR 250 might not make for a good street bike in Miami though. You know you need a flickable, fast bike to avoid 'cellphone mamma' in her Mall Utility Vehicle or MUV.....

Scooter for ground roads/around town- WR. I can always grab some sidewalk or go off road in a pinch.

Battle scoot for cell phone mamas and text messaging idiots- ZX10R.

Wish I could keep the buell, 10r and get a WR, but not there yet.
I'll probably sell my dirtbike if I get the WR as well. (ktm125sx)

Don't know what I'll do yet. This is sort of how I ended up with the buell to begin with. KLX250 vs DR400 vs klr/dr/xr 650 vs 525exc, I said screw it and got the buell. Now if the WR had been around back then, I may have gone that route. I was leaning KLX250 but was worried about lack of power.

I think I'm over that now and would rather have light, dirtbike like scooter and be able to go truly off road too.

So.. now I am NOT traveling this weekend. Anyone up for a ride, or farkle party on Sat? I can provide the space and the beer (for the FP)!!

There is a key game on at 3:30 which the wife and I are planning on watching so I would be targeting an earlier start to either activity.

Motorcyclists doing it charity style.

FYI.

I am planning a large ride for next year to raise money for Riders.org. It will be on-road (apollogy to my fellow dirty bastiaches) and will include a few laps around the Homestead Speedway's road corse. I am still setting up the details and getting access to the track but have gotten the blessing from Riders.org. I created a meetup group for motorcyclists to join so I can updated them when it is getting closer to fruition. So far it looks like the ride will be from Miami (a park somewhere) to Homestead for a lap or more around the track then a BBQ in the infield. T-shirt for sure maybe some gifts from ze industry but not sure yet. Work in progress but I'll keep you all up to date.

I'm up for a ride, brought home a WR250R today, the Buell is gone though I could see owning one again some day.

Bring on the water, but preferably not in the form of rain with lightning.

Moving to Miami area

Hey guys,
I am so glad to see that there is some offroad riding in South Florida. I have just been told by my employer that I am moving to the Miami area from N. AL. and am glad to see that there will still be some oppurtunities to get dirty. May try to hookup with some of you when I get settled in the area.

Riding yes, snorkel no. Gotta get ready for the Scrub Besides I washed the bike, and like to keep it clean for at least a week
I'll end up in the Park (Griffin Rd and US 27) on Sunday AM to BS a bit and smoke a stogie

Is that the only riding you are planning?

Scott, heading to Hammer Point on Saturday morning but maybe I'll catch up before I go and maybe on Sunday at the park on they way back...
