Wicked Norway 2008.

First random:

Norge 2008.

After almost 10 months out of saddle (broken legg) finnaly we start to our longest adventure.13 000 km long trip from Zagreb-Croatia to North Cape-Norway and back!
4th of jully everything was ready. And early morning on 5th we started...

ODO :)

First day we we made almost 1000 km and reach the Franfurt-Germany.Our friend gave us nice B&B and really nice small talk.He is also very good hobby mechanic so we changed the rear disc pads next morning.
STAU in Germany...

Last preparation...

Next day the finish line was in Schleswig-Germany.600km total.
Down town...

Third day.Plan was to buy ferry tickets at Hirtshals-Danmark to Kristiansand-Norway.So like we saw on internet there was no tickets for morning ferry, only available was night ferry. So we bought the night ferry tickets.

The port...

The beach...

Old lighthouse...

Ferry company...

It was 3pm , we had we decited to make a small trip(70km) to Skagen. The most northern Danmark point.
And there we found...

Nice composition...

Local weekend houses...

WW2 ruins....

Turistic train...

And the ferry is close...

Very precise boarding...

Midnight, just before the Norway land.Almost dead...

Garmin Zumo helped us to find a accomodation.Little cabin called Hytte near Kristiansad. We slept immidiately we cross inside...

To be continued...

Where does Norway find its road engineers? Did no one tell them roads can't be works of art, never mind bridges.

Oh boy. If I don't get to Norway before I die, I did something wrong.

Looking forward to hearing about your trip.

Very interesting day is coming.1st of Jully we hosted Monte Negro Nordkapp team in Zagreb. Then we planing to arange meeting in Norway. So we heard each other by the mobile and meeting point was Priekestolen. This is the rock 600 m above the see with a great view.Only one problem there was...climbing on the top is almost 2,5 hours and unfortunatelly it was too much for my leg...

[/img]

The first grass roof house we saw...

I saw the rock only on the other people pics...

When we came there we noticed Ivan's bike...

...called him,but he was in the middle of the climb. We continued down the road, but slowly, that the guys could overtaking us...somwhere on the road...

on the road 13...again...

Parking area...very crowded as you can see...

We stopped often for a rest and to gave them a time to catch us...

So we had where...

...and the reason to stop...

...and after few hours...

This are the guys...

all on the beemers...sponsored...

Continued together after a deal to had a dinner together...

Road 13...amazing,waterfalls,lakes,fjords...

Finished in Sunndal after the 11km long tunnel leading by Zumo.We found nice big Hytte and my wife Xenia prepared a dinner...Lots of advice, impresions and talk we had that evening...

We wake up and looked through windov...sun...yuuupiiii..Today must be a special day....and it was...
Packed the stuff and we went through tunnel back to Odda!We rode together via road 13 till Brimnes.from the left some fjord,to the right cherry tries...nice surroundings...

The port...

Ferry over Eidfjorden to Bruravik.

View from the ferry...

Here we get separated.Guys didn't have time so they went directly to the North Cape via the shortest possible route. We went to Voss for supllies...

Chicken from the grill was in the bag.Only we had to find nice place to have a lunch...But in Norway we never had problem to find a right place...

I asked Xenia:There,down the waterfall?Is it OK?

And Twinnefoss was the perfect place to stay for a while...

Tvinnefoss to the east...

FAnce and the mountain to the south...

View to the north from our table...

Really nice place...

Now we have energy to continue. In Vinje we took road E16 to Aurlandsdalen and then we took road 50.Tunnels...lots of them. After the last tunnel ....Aurlandsfjorden...

It's cca 100km in the main land...

Mountain platou....

Lots of snow at only 1000m above the sea level...

Where is the lots of snow there must be a lake...

...and where is the lake must be a river...

...and at the end everything finish in fjord over the Haggafoss...

Road 7 then to the east to Gol.In Goll we took road 52 towards west.We getaway from the clouds.Climbing again.Alone...

Taking the pics...Sun telling us it's late...

Enjoying the view 0:30AM from the Hytte...

Dreams became reality...

Beautiful country and your pictures do it justice. Those roads look really nice to ride. Glad you're stopping a lot to appreciate and take it all in.
