Love feed back haha but seriously if you read the hints they are even discernable for outsiders......I've seen much worse hints...:-) good luck i'll give more if noone gets it in a couple days

p.s. if you got it from PA I'd be willing to throw in a case of extra tasty beverages! (hey that's kinda a hint in itself)

First off, this is not a rant. I'm not stressing on this one way or another. And it's too hot for me to want to ride that far for a tag (assuming that it's in the southern part of the state).
But this is an attempt to clarify that what seems obvious to the clue giver is not so clear to the recipients. I know, because I've been guilty of the same offense in the past.

Secondly, my google-fu isn't weak, it flat out sucks when subjective interpretation is involved.

Third, it took 15 minutes for a native to figure out the location? That doesn't make it easy or obvious in my book. My patience runs out after 2 minutes of filtering the spew that web search engines produce.

Based on the hints and pictures, I could try an image search on the type of building, which looks to me like an old style small airport control tower. Then I could search West Virginia food aid program history.
Then I could search for either fireworks factories, or military live fire ranges. And then collate those results for a common location in WV.

Yeah right. I'd rather , or

Of course I've probably misinterpreted every single hint given, but none of my postulated conditions are unreasonable.

This looks interesting.
I might have to go after this just to find out more about that big rock. Who put it there?? How did they get it there? Did they have help from aliens?

Yeah the hints were a little sketchy...

I've never seen the building before, but I'm guessing, from the clues... it has something to do with a prison. Of course, that's just a WAG.

Make mine a SWAG, but me thinks it's a WWII, or earlier, vintage control tower. I think I know where it is, but haven't been able to tie in the food thing.

Gettin warm. Where do you grow food? Just tie the two together. Of course it's not easy to find information about it. I think they want to keep it hidden.

The tag was in Barboursville City Park.

Here is the little bit of clue I found that lead us to it.

Passing through the center of town, visitors can follow the signs toward Barboursville Park. This sprawling, 700-acre recreational area rests on the site of the old county prison farm. A lone guard tower still stands watch over the park as a remnant of the past before the village converted the farm in the early 1980s into a park.

We didn't find any signs, and of course google led us to within about a half a mile, but not even on the right road for the park entrance. After asking about four people, we finally found the old guard tower.

But no one knew anything about the BIG ROCK!!

WVdyhrd has to tell us about the rock

We left after work and got rained on on the way down.

Took WAY too long to find the tag . No twistie roads, but still a good excuse for ridin.

Little late getting back

That'll teach Buff36 to volunteer to go after a tag, without asking where it is

We'll try to get the new tag up ASAP.
