Sidecar sillyness

I'm sorry but I just can't understand why anyone would want to do that to a two wheel vehicle. To me it defeats the whole purpose of having a motorcycle. Putting a third wheel makes the motorcycle inherently less stable for handling, especially while cornering.
Why not get a little convertible instead?
Much safer and probably as much fun!?

I wish I had my Ural when I lived in BC. Only a half million miles of unimproved road up there. He could be havin' some real fun.

Many motorcycles, convertibles, and sidecars later, I can't think of anything very measurable that they had in common. Not even the roof. For a troll, not particularly informed. Maybe read up and try again later. Better yet would be to drive a sidecar.

Sure I'm trollin', but I still don't get it. WHY? Because there are Quads and numerous offroad capable two wheelers. I see no sense in sidecars whatsoever and no I will not be on one EVER

sounds like you don't get it because you don't want to. You bring a butthead attitude to the table and a closed mind; no point trying to explain it. Lots of ways to have fun on wheels, sidecars are just another variation. If you find yourself in Hood River and want a demonstration of what it's all about, look me up

Sure it expands the whole purpose of having a motorcycle; putting a third wheel makes the motorcycle inherently more stable for handling, especially while cornering. And of course it allows you to take a passenger with more comfort and safety and places her where she can see more than the back of your head and where you can converse. And it provides a way for the disabled to continue to enjoy the thrills and freedom of motorcycling. I supose I could take my dog with me or easily use my bike to run errands and go to the store. And it opens up the rainy and snowy seasons to motorcycling. And its great for camping and off road adventures.

But even with all that, I just can't wrap my head around adding a third wheel to my bike. Learning new skills frightens me.
I'd rather get a little convertible instead.
