What does everyone think of the idea of patching and plugging a rear tire that picked up a nail and is leaking pretty good? My season might be over

A "Plug Patch" (looks like an umbrella) is the best repair, but its your azz. I lucked out, the last flat I had new tires were already on order. IF you repair the tire, patches are better than a plug because the air is INSIDE the tire.

The way I drive? New tire.

The good news: Very rural with a lot of this

The bad news: Very rural with a lot of this

Don't believe all of those signs

I would not recommend this as a night time grab. VERY rural with no gas for miles and no help until the milk truck comes by in the morning. Spend the day down there zig zagging the hills, it's really a beautiful area.

Nope, pushed it around cuz the ass is so wide with the bags on it, had to lean it way over. After you get 30 yard past where the road is washed out in the pic is another set of barricades just like them ones. The road isn't wide enough for a full size vehicle. The whole right side of the road is gone.

Many of the roads in the area suffered wash outs from the flooding we had in August. Some really are closed.

Maps!......... Maps!.......... we don't need no steenkin maps.

Just print out the turn by turn directions and buy a map for backup. Or do what I do and use a globe.

I get lost a lot.

You got me today. I left work early, (three something) went to the library, checked to see if the new tag was posted, NOPE. Got home (four something) there it was...... sumbitch...

I need a map.

On our way to an awards dinner, I was a little lost. I stopped at a store. My son said "You are going to ask for directions and buy a map" I did.

East Otto aint on my NYS map I keep on the bike.

Looks like I should leave the saddle bags home too.
