Stunning Alfas. I love the yellow Montreal. We have car & coffee type shows in Atlanta that I thought were pretty damn good but they don't come close to the eye candy you have in L.A. For instance, I have never seen a Montreal in Georgia.

Just because it's fresh in my mind, yesterday was Alfa day. I have a soft spot for them, as a kid there was an Alfa/Ferrari/FIAT dealer near me, and I was a regular there. I even have a grille from a 60's GTV on my wall.

This is a Zagato bodied 2600. It looked brand new.

The previous week there was this special Alfa:

Here's an original looking Lancia Aurellia V8.

Not very often. I think I recall a coupole of GT's but not particularly nice ones. I may have some shots of a Kadett once. I'll take a look though some days I'm a dummy and forget a fresh battery , or the camera itself.

How about a Goggomobile instead?

RedRocket, did you ever see the Dual Ghia that used to park at a gas station on Melrose. I don't recall that the station was still in operation. The license plate on the car read "72 Isuzu". This was about 15 years ago.

I've barely lived here that long, and never in LA county.

cushy

This is one of my favorite Vettes. Big Block with a 5 speed. He added a tight roll bar so he could mount 3 point belts.
Look at the rear tires. You couldn't possibly fit anything larger. It gets driven a lot.

This 968 was beautiful, nearly perfect, and for sale. It was a one owner car, about 55000 miles and very well cared for. Manual trans, $ 16500, and I thought it was worth it ( I'm not a big Porsche fan )

Great Paint

Nice to see the C&C has gone national. It started in early 2008 here. Best carshow there is to me. They actually DRIVE them and we can hear the engines roar. Hundreds gather out on the street to see them "burn rubber" when they leave too...

We do have some trailers show up, but very few.
The crowds at the exit here are pretty big too, but the cops sit right there to keep it in line, though sometimes they get a little jiggy wit it.

We've had a Cars and Coffee event in the suburbs of North Atlanta for about five years - its called Caffeine and Octane and is held the first Sunday of each month at The Avenue in East Cobb (HWY 120) between Roswell and Marietta. The show goes from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM so it doesn't take a whole chunk out of your day.

In nice weather we'll get over 400 cars - this past Sunday the temperature was about 19 degrees and we still got around 125 cars including this original 289 Cobra. The owner bought it in 1973 and has kept it ever since (probably paid around $3000 for it back then).

Always preferred the 289 to the 'hotter' ones
