Lol

No it actualy doesnt do that bad lol. About 12 which is real good for a beast like this. Not a daily driver for me but when you need a serious truck it does the job no questions asked.

pack tube full of wet sand. cap ends as tight as possible. bend tubing, dump out sand.
Good advice, but I'd use dry sand, and you'll still need a mandrel.
I repaired my GS crash bars by buying a bad set, then cutting and pasting good tube into the damaged sections. Wierd size of tubing that the crashbars are, that approach seemed most sensible.
Might have enough tubing left to fix yours, but take it offline please, or at least take it out of this thread.

Hey MadBrit, These guys aren't vendors either !

Getting an XR400 plated in WA state is the stuff of legends.

I have never tried it with this bike, or any other. This bike has everything you need as far as hardware to do that. The BajaDesigns Dual Sport kit includes, lights, horn, turn signals, tail and brake lights (rear brake only, there is no switch on the front brake). The as yet uninstalled Vapor will give you a speedo.

It seems to me that recently, more folks have had success, but OTOH there have been issues with folks getting letters from the DMV. I have several friends with XR650Rs that have plates and they have not had any issues. A lot of current success stories are KTM and Husaberg and similar bikes that don't have any 'OFFROAD ONLY' stamp on the paperwork. I don't have the title in front of me but I'm sure it says ORV rather than MCY (or whatever it is).

I have, on occasion, put a plate on this bike and ridden it on both street and forest roads with never a problem. I rode it to work for several weeks a few years ago. Passed lots of cops who never gave it a second look. I rode this bike so rarely that getting it plated was never a priority.

I have a DRZ400S with a plate and a button, so I ride that a lot more these days.

The bad. Tailgate is a different color than the truck as is the shell (which is not on it right now)

Asking $2,500.00 OBO...
Nice truck, wish I had the money. Love the 460. 12 mpg is really not too shabby for a big V8. I used to drive a Dodge 2500 van with a 360 that only got about 12 mpg.

Cash for Clunkers will get you $4500 for this beast. Too bad it doesn't apply to Motos.

I'm looking for a pair of tires for a pair of mid 80's Honda TRX 200's (utility 4-wheelers)
It has Ohtsu 25x12x9's on it. I don't need paddles, and as we do mostly trail riding anyway, knobbies would be better.
We don't ride these as much as we used to, so I don't wanna spend a ton on these...so used is fine. Mine are weather-chequed ta shit!

Whaddya got??? Thanx all!!

Twin Air filter for 96-02 DR650

I bought two Twin air filters online and I can't return them. I purchased them for the wrong year so they didn't fit. They're labeled for a 1996-2002 Suzuki DR650. I have one new still in the package. The other one is oiled (tried to install) but never used. Paid $60 for both of them. I'll sell them together for $40 and I'll ship them for free.
