Olympia Motorsports women's mesh jacket size small. It's a 9.5 out of 10. $175 shipped or $150 pick up in Spokane.

One small dirt spot on left shoulder.

Mystery Graphite Slabs

I work at a small boat yard and we are in the process if tearing down an old building. I found 17 pieces of what we think is graphite. They are 27lbs each, 3/4" thick, 15" wide and 37" long. They have the words ACHESON and LHT 28N on them.

No employees past or present can figure out what they may have been used for at the marina.

They have been under the building since at least the 60's if not longer.

More importantly, are they worth anything and does anyone want them? Maybe you could make giant pencils....

Fun puzzle. I'm sure someone out there knows exactly what these were for, but for the hell of it I did a bit o' googlin'

Highly likely they are worth something, but I have no idea what. Outside of industrial uses, they have use in glassblowing for certain tools or work surfaces.

I'm about 99% sure the "N" is for National Carbon Company (Acheson worked for them or his company was bought by them and they use that process). In 1967 there were some name and logo changes having to do with Union Carbide owning them:
http://www.graftech.com/getdoc/cfa0a...Sept-2011.aspx

LHT is a grade. Not sure what it denotes exactly but google "LHT grade graphite" brings up a lot.

No idea on the 28. Maybe a size or lot number or something?

Edit: Union Carbide is now GrafTech international. http://www.graftech.com/ Maybe send them a pic?
