just got lucky. sat. morning was bored at work, used a craigslist search helper and entered moto guzzi. when i saw the posting i thought, shit this one is gone. then i noticed it had only been on there for about ten minutes. called the seller, bought it over the phone for the asking price. will offer up pics when it gets here. i'm stoked 'cause i dig them eldo's!

Yeah, I've heard of 'em. Apparently my Dad didn't though. The piece that looks like a fuzzy catepillar exploded is what happens when old gas sits in the low point of the fuel lines for a few years.

It's not coming all apart, just the fueling system, new ignition switch (Dad lost the key), new breather hoses, fluids all around, and probably a new clutch/flywheel (it was sitting outside for a couple of years with no starter motor). Then I'm going to ride it till it blows up, source a low mileage engine, and fix it up right. I feel like I have a lot of flexibility to ride it rat style for a while because its so high mileage.

It just set's in the corner... I think I rode it about 150 miles last year.

I don't know how classic this one is ,but it is a survivor.I don't remember all the details the guy told me but I asked about the front brakes. No problems with the brakes he said.Never had to work on them.
The right caliper was so frozen it wouldn't move ,but you don't really need that one because the left one is fine.Better him than me.

i dunno if this is classic or not but it's a little bit old, and i just got her back together again. (i got it in pieces [and free!]) rode it up and down the street a bit to see if it all worked, and i'm already starting to like it... she makes a good impression.

still needs a bit of work though.

thought i would post my recently finished project on this thread-79 lemans cx100. now i need to get a pic of my 78 V50. who is coming to the national rally next week.

We're planning on hauling two old uns out, and then hanging around for the week in Golden with friends, doing at least an overnighter on the bikes and some fishing.

Look for a gold T3 and a black V7 Sport.
