Hi Baza, The pipe is a Dr John replica and Martin (jacksonracing) is making them for Guzzi's in shed at home.

You bloody beauty! now I just have to get another Guzzi!
Wonder if he'd have a crack @ a set for an XS650?, down the left side though.
Cheers
Baza

Actually, until Dr. John and his team started winning championships, Moto Guzzi was as far from the top as one could get. Most, if not all of the mainstream road tests were sarcastically critical (the Le Mans 1000 more so) and that's if Guzzi was lucky enough to get coverage. It was guys like Wittner, Smrz and Nick that shut them up.

...well, sort of. The team received some press coverage, but not in balance with what they accomplished. The motorcycle magazines had to please their advertisers and Moto Guzzi was not a huge contributor. It's easy to be critical, or even comical when there's nothing to fear! Not surprisingly Guzzi directed most of its advertising dollars towards Europe and the UK.

Sadly, that opinion has carried over and carried on for years with many. I have no interest in being a martyr, but I'm sure glad there was a certain number of people that refused to be influenced by that crap.

Thanks for the photos Nick!

Martin Harvey, "down Mexico (well, Mornington) way"...
That might be Martin's own bike that's done big miles - though I've never seen it as pristinely, sparklingly clean as the one in the pic....
