Just a reminder from this Texan-GW Bush was a very good Governor. Now I wonder how he will rate as President. I wish all good for your Governor/VP Candidiate. Should be interesting, just hope it does not look like a desperate effort to stop the bleeding... They have my vote.

Think you will find most in Alaska like her. She has an approval rating of around 80%. We are a pretty conservative state.

It is understandable that people in states who lean to the left will be against her. I don't look at that as a bad thing. In fact it would make me nervous if for some reason they liked her. I do think she will attract those people setting on the fence.

No one was more excited than my wife, who is EXTREMELY politically conservative. I was stationed at Ft. Rich for three years, (why I moved away when I ETS'd I'll never understand) and we both have been up several times since I left. The wife became a big Palin fan when she read about her life and rise to Gov. in Alaska mag a few months ago. I think she has a girl crush!

EDIT: Spicy, I hope you have permit for that Avatar.

Everyone's intitled to their opinion, especially you, since we both agree!

I think the Dems are really under estimating Palin and hopefully will continue to do so.
LOL, I'm slow to come back to this thread...but it's good stuff. Tellin' my pal here all about her. She's not into the status quo it seems...I'm stoked!!

Whodda thunkit. Palin has more executive and business experience than either McCain, or the other two yahoos. Congratulations AKers.

Yeah, but nobody will know what you look like. All the campaign signs will show is that purdy picture up in the up left corner of your posts.

What a gal!

We can also find solace in that we know she's ready for Washington D.C.:fully accustomed to pitching guts and carcasses, and has her own chest waders... still, that cesspool in D.C. will be a challenge!

Thank You to all Alaskans who voted, too! None of this would be even a footnote during this election, except that y'all trusted her enough to vote her in... that's noteworthy!
Actually the "tremendous leap for women" was made by Geraldine Ferraro in 1984 when she was selected as the Vice Presidential running mate to Walter Mondale.

There is rumor circulating all over the Internet that Palin's new son is really her grandson and that she pretended to be pregnant to conceal her daughter Bristol's pregnancy. The story rings true and makes sense. Things could be over for this ridiculous VP nominee -- hopefully and thankfully --before they get started.
Yawn..smeck, smeck, stretch...is someone talkin'.

...zzzzz.....So, "washington experienced egomaniac 'billionaires' " have gotten us where?
