I'm a machinist who works on CNC Swiss Screw machines. I could've made some but frankly, I like having the security screw because I sometimes leave my Zumo 550 on the bike if I'm not far from it and just don;t want someone to be able to easily swipe it.
What I did with the OE-supplied tool is just slid it into a piece of shrink-wrap tubing (for wiring) and heated it up. It shrunk nicely around the knurl, then I used a razor blade to part the tubing where the two pieces unscrew. Lastly, I added it to the bike's key fob, so it's always handy and doesn't mar the headset's finish. |

When will he update his thread to give us the option to buy some of the 26xx series screws? I'm glad I waited a bit. I'll need a couple of each...

You can ask Kevin directly... I am just a guy who wanted an affordable,,, well made,,, great material,,, better than the rest screw,,, and was willing to buy 100 if Kevin didn't sell at least 100... He is well over 300 so far so,,, I am off the hook... Ask Kevin any questions here... kpelliott1@charter.net |

Mine arrived today, US to Australia in around a week... pass on my thanks. Went on in around 30 seconds, just closed the clamp, unscrewed, screwed in new one which when straight through the o-ring and done... perfect.
