Looks like a sportbike with two additional inches of travel.

I'm sure if they attach the word "Adventure" to it, posers will go crazy.

The multi-strada was built as a versitile sports bike. I can't imagine the replacement will be any different.

Here's how Ducati put it:

The Ducati Multistrada family of sport bikes excel on every road with amazing sports performance, outstanding comfort and everyday-use versatility. Ideal for a day in the mountains, the daily commute or a weekend tour, the Multistrada offers sport bike aggression on twisty roads, yet is smooth and relaxed when scenery beckons.

You're right about the adventure label. If they built an adventure bike they'd sell plenty.

This bike will not be a competitor to the GS. It will be road going just like the outgoing multi only it will have the water cooled 1098 or 888 motor. This bike is going to sell well

Stick a 1100DS, cool mags and great brakes on it and I'd buy one for $9999

Good move by Ducati, IMO. The front end was always the Butt end of this other wise beautiful bike.

That article is over 6 months old... I think that is just a pretty photoshop, especially considering the sitings of the tall, upright desmoquattro-powered test mule that were spotted.
