I had a 30 min ride yesterday - rained all the time. Need to have another go to be honest. Felt so light - it made me nervous of opening the throttle. The thought of stacking someone else's 14 grand bike was a tad scary.

This is what strikes me most about the MTS12... for a bike its size, how feather light it feels.

Ducati say 189 KG. That's about the same as a Kwak Versys. With a touch more power.

My standard weighs 480ish with full tank of fuel, no panniers or centerstand. My 1050 Tiger with centerstand removed, but with crash bar, was 496 by comparison.

The MS feels much lighter tho, and gobs more power to play with.

VFR 1200 owners ride.

Finally got to thrash one on dry roads. Bloody impressive beast. Very good mid range. Quiet induction though. Certainly wasn't expecting that. Don't seem to be able to gel with the riding position. The locked in nature of the seat didn't do it for me although the brief ride (1 hr) saw no issues regarding comfort. Most surprising was how odd i found the flying cross riding position, given i have loads of bikes like this. I don't know why - but i favour my conventional riding position nowadays.
Brilliant bike though. Owners should be rightfully proud.

Are there lowering links or other lowering options for this bike yet? Even with the low seat and minimum preload, I need to get it about 2 inches lower. Is that possible? If not, what it the lowest it will go?

+1 on that.

I was considering a GS but ended up buying a 2007 MTS1100S. What a bike. I can only imagine what the new MTS1200 is like. I am trying to fight the urge to demo one. I feel that if I demo it then I will buy it right on the spot. And that's not good for my family budget .
