Looks like maybe still doing some design exploration with the tank and seat. Or maybe this is two stages of the evolution of it.

The bagless one looks like pieces lifted from the Streetfighter, and the one with bags has more of a 1200GS line to it. Looks like it might be comfy, too.

I love the refrigerator sized tail trunk on this latest photo of the test mule !

Bikes in this segment have to be tested with varied extreme load setups, to ensure the weight distribution, frame geometry and aerodynamics of the upcoming model, are capable of providing safety and stability in full on touring modes.

I'd like to see a useful touring front fender included as standard or as a sensible optional accessory, when the bike is revealed as production ready. The current fender and air intake for the front cylinder's belt shroud, don't jive well together. An optional full coverage front fender for all weather touring conditions, would be a thoughtful and well received addition, to it's catalog of oem accessories...

Like earthroamer, this is by far one of my favourite threads to watch.
Thanks once again paul thompson, for your latest supersized photo posting !

IMHO, Benelli stood and delivered an excellent blow against the GS. It was just in the wrong economic climate, with very little advertising, and they have a poor dealer network.

If you were counting the dealer in Spokane -I'm sorry to say that there are now only eleven. They closed last month. Sad because Binelli was looking very promising.

Sorry for the interruption,

Sorry for the interruption,

There was a pretty nice ride report where three guys purchased one Amazonias, and 2 trecks. I think they flew out and rode them around and then back home.

Very lovely machines.

I remember those for some of the worst reviews on bikes I've ever
read, in multiple local (EU & Cro) magazines, and a rather respectable
Motorrad test they do once a year in the Alps with all kinds of bikes.

It was last, and 2 people fell of it without ever discovering why.
They mentioned great performance tho, when it runs.

I've got a dealer in my home town, he imported _one_ of these in
2007, and it's still on his showroom floor and he can't sell it for 25%
under MSRP.

Got a few online pals with TNT's, all broke down too many times and
were sold _fast_. One good looking TNT is at a local Yamaha dealer
for a while now for half the MSRP, like new, can't sell.

Even living a stone throw away from Italy, people tend to stay away
from them.

I hope (and it's a big, unfounded hope) that if it has the "old" name, then it'll have the old price. Sub 10 grand (UK) will have me giving serious thoughts about taking a risk and purchasing my first Duck.
