Hi there,
could it be, that Ducati is just trying to beat it's own Multistrada in terms of uglyness??? I'm sorry, but I have a problem to imagine somebody who would like this, even when 'Ducati' is written on it's tank! And I thought after releasing the Hypermotard Ducati was back on the trail for power and beauty!!!
Kind regards, Bambi

This is a troll, right?

Because no one really believes that the blackout masking and leopard paint spots are going to be on the production bike, right? Anyone with at least one working eye can see the red plastic at the edges of the blackout masking, right?

Thought so. Good thing I knew you weren't serious.

Sorry for that, Yossarian,
I surely didn't take the leopard-spots and the black-taping of the front mask serious. But I'm afraid, that the shape of the production-bike will be something like that of the bike on the pics. It's especially the red edges 'behind' the black masking tape, that worries me!!!
And I still think, that's a shame for Ducati! Who built a motorcycling-icone with the 916, a breath-taking naked-bike in form of the elder monsters (I'm not so pleased with the new ones), an absolute fine-looking 1198-super-bike (after that misled 999) and the non-plus-ultra Hypermotard.
Still kind regards, Bambi

I like the multistrada. That front end is odd looking, but there is something interesting about it.

It is unique.

and overall, still a very attractive design.

This think gets worse and worse the more that is reveiled. It really is making the Multistrada look attractive in comparison.

I don't subscribe to the "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" rhetoric. Some things are pretty and some things are not, but currently owning two multistradas has made me think of the bike in a different way.

Its so functional and well thought out that it makes more sense the more you are around it. I'd never call an A-10 Warthog pretty, but its not exactly without beauty, if you know what I mean. The MTS is similar to that in my mind. Sit it next to a pearl white 848 and yeah, by comparison, its hideous. But both were intended for different roles.

The blurry side-shot of the white "aperta" gave me encouragement that this bike will be similar. It's not going to be pretty, but I suspect it will not be without beauty either.

It's Wednesday, so it's MCN photoshop day. 100% accurate according to MCN.

I'm a bit surprised that none of the photos (or creations) show an oil cooler.

Nevertheless, I would like to chime in and day it's a very nice looking machine. I think Paul's post of the MCN article is very representative of the finished product.

I think there is a frontal shot kicking around somewhere that shows the oil cooler in the beak.

Well that's better looking than the 1200gs and the multistrada.
