Does anyone happen to know if the default suspension settings on the Pikes Peak model are the same as on the MTS1200 with the electronic suspension?
Thanks, Sideout.

Should be, it's just a 1200 S Sport with fancy paint and some trim changes, not a different bike. :)

Yup. One would think. However seems like some folks over at ducati.ms have a slightly different experience - http://www.ducati.ms/forums/44-multi...010-sport.html

I have been seriously tempted to take my MTS12 out on the local MX track just to scare the sh*t out of the kids out there. Lucky for everyone the big-boy Conti TKC 80s aren't shipping yet. That might be a YouTube video that I don't want to be part of though....."Look what happens when an idiot takes his Ducati on a Motocross track". ![]() Do check out (as in ride) the other bikes in this class (1000cc+ adventure tourers) and you'll see what I'm talking about. The Duc is so light compared to the others it really does feel like a dirt bike next to the competition. If you armor it appropriately, there's no reason it can't go anywhere you point it.....and survive. I've taken mine on everything other than sand/mud (again, no knobbies = no joy on those surfaces) and single track with no issues. -SM

I took a used 1200 for a long test ride up at A&S and am totally smitten. Good to know the local guys might be allright to deal with. |

Well...
Well...520 lb (on my scale) is still not what I call light. Maybe if you're Jimmy Lewis...
