Too bad, there are a lot of sharp people here with lots of good ideas and advice.

Maybe this place would be more your style? www.bmwst.com The nickname for the place is Mister Rogers Neighborhood.

Wow. I wish I had the ability to determine riding ability and political affiliation just based on someones geographic location. You're amazing!

Glichicoca,

Have you considered that this thread is about the Multistrada 1200 and that the peeps that post here are interested in it, or are excited about the technology that appears to have gone into it, or even find it attractive?

I think your initial post in this thread was antagonistic and indeed trolling . You could have just left it at "I saw the bike at the show and thought it was ugly and didn't do anything for me". Ok, fine. Thanks for your input.

Personally, I feel that BMW R1200ST has to be the ugliest bike to have come out in years or possibly ever, but I don't let everyone know that everytime there is a post about why the R1200ST was dropped from the line-up, or what pricing to expect, what tires to get for it, etc. Just sayin'. It is Ok to be edgy, just be productive and contribute something also.

Now please can we return to our scheduled programming --the Ducati Multistrada 1200? Although pricey, I think the upcoming bikes (such as the new multi, or BMWs K1300S) with ABS, traction control, electronically adjustable suspension, power selection modes, are going to change the way we ride...I am hopeful that we will see this technology trickle down to middleweight bikes in the future not just 150hp beasts.

You forgot to mention that in his theory seat time on a bike will also correlate inversely with trolling status. That is, more seat time, less trolling. Which actually makes sense, if someone spends less time in front of the computer, it is less time to troll.

Anyway, this Multistrada is definitively in my radar. If not to buy it, simply to observe how it does, I'll be paying attention to it. Like the other poster, it may be the beginning signs of things to change in the motorcycle industry.

Help?

Gonna definitely get one; ok, so I'm a bike 'ho'! But, can't seem to make up my mind on which model. I've waded thru this thread and not sure?

Can someone definitively answer this: Can the panniers/cases be put on the CF/sport model????

You might be on your own for definative, but...

the CF/Sport version at the show had the upper pannier mounts in the tail section, but did not have the lower pannier mounts bolted onto the passenger pegs.

I am sure you can upgrade from the base model except for perhaps the electronics and ABS. But for me the Touring Edition has the tour gizmos I would need: heated grips, center stand, DES and ABS plus of course the bags.

At the Ducati booth they provided 2010 catologs with separate pages for all three versions. I think I could used to the beak...the rest of the bike is good.

All the other Ducs were beautiful.

And Ducati always has the best booth babes.
