Let's see....
Got a 10 mile ride in this morning grabbing a local tag. Dropped my truck off AGAIN to get a balance problem on a new set of tires looked at. (4th attempt) Fixed the horn in my dad's Malibu by REPLACING THE F'ING AIRBAG!!! for a 10¢ switch!!! Worked on my girlfriend's car to try and clear a check engine light to sneak it through inspection. Drove my dad around Raleigh to look at new (to him) vehicles. Picked my truck up (with ANOTHER set of tires installed that now seem fine.) So, to recap - most gorgeous day we've had in a while and I got stuck with chore duty for the first time in a good while. No LD tag grabbing. Tomorrow had better be as nice as today or I want my money back.

Well if you had a plate DS machine you could do some local single track with Lonewolf and myself. Going to ride sugar sand, streams, trails, street, more trails, river banks, check out some places we haven't been before. Then maybe go to some other dirt we haven't been on before. All within about 20 miles of home.
PM me if interested. We are meeting at 1pm.

Looking into plating the KTM, but it's a back burner project for now.

Corner store @ Poole Road and South Smithfield between Raleigh and Wendell @ 1pm.
I've gone and found myself some GIS from the state that has every unpaved/maintained SR or NC road on it but really we're just gong to have a little local fun. |

Total Hijack - Didn't go for the NC tag today. Stayed local. Stayed off the super slab. Started mapping out local dirt routes...see, we do have more in the triangle than just super slab!
I bet I didn't go more than 15 miles from my house and all afternoon was spent on dirt. You would have liked todays local Dual Sport ride WB, your bike would have fit in perfectly. Fishing Hole and possible camping spot (some of you other long time local adventurers might know where this is...I seem to remember a picture of 2 other DRs in the same spot popping up a couple years ago). ![]() That hole was deep...sunk the DR and got my boots wet getting to the fishing hole above. ![]() "Hey, what happened to the bottom?" ![]() Dang stuff is like quick sand. ![]() "I think I can, I think I can" ![]() This used to be a distilling operation... ![]() and this used to be dirt(now it's the "trail")... ![]() Will be reviving BHWs triangle dual sport thread and seeing who wants to go dual sport (as in you need knobs or a whole lot of adventuring juju to get there) camping in the triangle at the spot Lonewolf chose this afternoon...beer, bonfire, dirt, and fishing. Also considering starting an NC Tag with a catch...it has to be on dirt...any dirt...big dirt, little dirt, hard dirt, soft dirt, but dirt. All tags would be required to have GPS coords...so that we could find them. Any support for such an idea? Oh yah...todays damage...bent brake lever, broken mirror, and me wind guard came off.
