TAG # 144

For perhaps an afternoon flatlanders tag?

I had planned to use this 2 months ago.. but didn't and I updated it a little.

I always have this urge to go where someone has put up a gate.
Ok.. the TAG is pretty easily found.,,, even if it is this fairly non descript gate..
It is in a county with only 2 vowels which are both the same letter. (my edit... not P*****, not O***** county)
It is in near a small community of 6 letters, 3 of which are vowels all of which are the same letter and it begins with the vowel.(Same general shape as but not the same vowel as the county's name)
It is on a Road just down from the Mansom Farm (right letters, just wrong order)
For the Google jockeys, this gate is viewable by street view as well

And I suspect some of you have ridden past the gate many times"

Off now to ADV lunch.

ride safe!!

NCS

Pix from March

From today.. and the ADV TAG is still hanging.

Thanks Phreak,

Once at work, my computer would not read my card reader... rebooted like 4 times. Tried another computer...3x, finally got it to read directly from camera to computer.. Then.. imageshack would not let me log in. Then wouldn't offer the mail password option. Still down evidently but pictures are posted here from it. Used my flickr account and it doesn't provide IMG code for forums, so set up photobucket account, (and it already has a user by my regular name and didn't accept my password format... so something very different to have to remember................ aaaagggggghh)

All that said... Thanks for coming thru and helping out!!! The ACGTA can always be counted on!

Well I must be burned out because I am not getting it.

"It is in a county with only 2 vowels which are both the same letter."

Chatham or Johnston County are the only 2 I see that matches this.

It is in near a small community of 6 letters, 3 of which are vowels all of which are the same letter and it begins with the vowel. (Same general shape as but not the same vowel as the county's name)

Only name I can find that matches this description is Ararat but it is in Surry County. This is also the only city listed in the North Carolina Official list of city names from Oct 2008, that has 6 letters and starts with a vowel and is used 2 more times.

It is on a Road just down from the Mansom Farm (right letters, just wrong order) haven’t figured this out either.

Time to go mow the lawn and get away from the computer.

OK.. There are more counties than I thought like that.. it is less than 5 letters, one syllable. . Think short county names. zip code 2733*

As for Ararat, we were both just up near there, nice place to ride. As for this place, not sure it is listed as a 'town' but does show up on yahoo and google as a community and even has a road name by the same name, like Ararat Rd

Even with the bad clues, I can see you ain't no gran master of a Google Jockey, you must be part of Daryder Brothers clan.. Bet MS NCO could have figured this out!

If you left now (about 4 p) for the TAG, and stopped at Bojangles, you can have the TAG and supper on the table before 6. Would this be a record... to have a tag, then have it claimed, then get it back all within a days daylight hours?

Oh..the bouncing front wheel.. any luck figuring it out ( they did balance it correctly didn't they?)

there's Chatham & Graham with "a"
there's Lee & Pender with "e"
there's Johnston & Onslow with "o"

I'm lost (besides being engaged in work related activities too)

I even tried writing a program for unscrambling "mansom" ... too tricky to keep the number of letters at 6

1) Go for a short county name, one syllable. (I had originally put 5 letters or less and in putting the post up today dropped that. My fault on that oversight)
2) for Mansom Put double letters together (The mind is a very good decoder. If you write something and jumble the letters in the words but have the first letter and the end letter correct, you can read it fairly easily.)

example
Wtih my tirp to the Sokmeis, one tinhg taht I hpeod to do was meet Prahek!" Taht ddni't hppaen but I did get to konw smoe ohetr garet rdeirs.

Then for community, use a vowel similar in shape to the county name vowels.

Tag #144

Well I made that a lot harder then it needed to be. The gate is located on Ammons Farm Road, roughly 1.6 miles from the Farrell rd intersection.

Location N35 34.071
W79 06.800

Did I make it by 6?

Now to think about the next Tag I might do something different
