Blur took a few more, but he has a two-hour drive home.

He cleared up some misconceptions I had about the styles of BBQ, and taught me how to fuse hushpuppies and slaw.

Tag #627

This tag is located in a small town that was originally named the same as a title given to Roman rulers. However, when application was made to the USPS for recognition, the name of the town was misspelled.

The main road through this town is the sum of a three digit road that it intersects about 7 or 8 miles to the south.

Google View

If by some RARE chance the car is gone (or you don't wanna park at the end of this guy's driveway), take a pic of your bike sitting in front of the post office about a 1/2 mile to the east.

Good luck! Have fun! Be safe!

PS..... if you're coming from the west and heading down the three-digit road mentioned above, cut off the corner by turning left on a road that shares the same name of a town in Africa where "drinking the kool-aid" was made infamous.

Well I found the town, but I'm not ready to jump on the scoot and go get it tonight. Plus I would probably get lost trying to find the tag.

BUT...Worthwhile SPAM. Please read.

If anyone wants to go on a short benefit ride there is one leaving from Cox's Harley Davidson in Asheboro, NC at 12pm today. The ride is down to Morrow Mtn State Park and back. There will be food & music when the ride is over. Cost is $15 per rider or $20 per couple.

It is a ride to benefit a guy named Brad Reid. He is in maintenance where I work. He spent March thru July in the hospital (in ICU the vast amount of time) and was at death's door more times than I can recall. The money raised is going to him and his family to help offset the huge medical bills they have now.

If you live within 60 miles you have time to make it to the ride, 75 miles (or more) if you ride it like you are sponsored!

Going on a slow poking benefit ride is not my idea of a good ride but the money is going for a good cause. So come on out if you are close enough and have a few hours to kill.

Found it. Only 110 miles from Sylva. Good clues. The cool aid clue was the one that clinched it for me. Shouldn't sit too long considering where it is. Be safe everyone. Lots of wet stuff forecasted to fall from the sky today.
