sorry to hear about the possible broken bones Peachy that is a hard one to heal . take your time getting back on a bike it can really make things hard if not healed up well and can rebreak fairly easly

broke my thumb 8 or 9 years ago, I was fortunate it wasn't the scaphoid (ended up chipping the bone), but the thumb spika cast that went to my elbow for 6 to 8 weeks was a hassle - go for the gortex liner if it's an option. It made driving my standard car and process map documentation work interesting. Luckily, it doesn't bother me riding or skiing now though.

Sorry to hear that El Tigre will need replacing, but hey bikes are much more replaceable than people. Take care of yourself.

Also called a boxer's break, because of compression fractures from a thrown punch. Due to the unusual way the blood flows to this bone, it can be a difficult healing process. Flow doctors orders on this one. I am not a doctor but I have stayed at a Holiday Inn.
