The ferry ride was cool.
Had all the accouterments of airport gate shops.
Overpriced coffee, magazines, candy...
Did I mention the screaming children already?

I decided to hang my hat outside for the leg of this tour.

Another one of those shots where I'm not sure what my thought process was...
Maybe it was here I was searching for the benedryl...

Arrived at Sydney, BC........
Time to make sure the bike is upright...

Sweet.

Let's roll....

And this here would be my lovely morning and evening view for the next 5 days.....

Must have been on the Coho over to Port Angeles. That one has people tossing their cookies quite often, especially during the winter months. The combination of a shallow draft boat and long, high wave action.

The ferry rides I've taken with a bike were my old DRZ... the chocks were too small so we stacked 'em.
Lovin' your photos! You're giving me lots of places to revisit close to home. Now that my Wee Storm is out of the hospital and feeling better, must be time for a ride!

My first morning on Vancouver Island.
I slept like a rock.

Rather than jump on the motorcycle right away
I opted to utilize the running shoes I drug around from state to state
and go pound some dirt in the woods...
And of course,
new place and all,
I brought my camera.

Lots of interesting flowering things......

When all the sudden,
I hear a noise behind me.
Sounded like something coming out of the bushes.
I turned around and saw nothing.
But something was definitely there.
I could feel it.
I looked again and still saw nothing.
Must have been a bird or small creature..

Anyway, more cool flowers.......

Dammit!!
I hear it again!
WTF is that?

Still, after a broad visual sweep of the area, nothing.
Jeez.
My imagination.
Actually, I did see something..
It was this...

But then, As I was taking that last picture,
I hear a different noise.
This one sounds like it's maybe getting closer..
I whip around to see this...

Now, I had heard rumors of these white foxes,
but wrote it off as just that...

Oh man, So now I'm getting nervous and doing the fox math
in my head.
This thing is coming right toward me!
I pick up my pace and start to jog a little faster with each step...

Oh good christ, it's really after me!!!

He is not letting up!!

I run out in to the open and look back......

This thing stops to check his P-mail.......
Giving me a nice breather....

And then out of nowhere,
pounces on my dear friend Gary.....
